COVID-19 has brought the topic of Risk Management on the forefront. Almost every country and every business in it has been affected by this event. Many countries have gone in for what some countries call “Lockdown.” Even when the lockdown is lifted experts say that life and businesses will not be the same again.

Are you ready to operate once the lockdown is lifted and the businesses are allowed operate? Experts are of the opinion that this situation will change the business environment as we know it. The business owners and risk professionals are trying to crystal gaze and attempting to look at what will the “New Normal” look like.

One thing seems to be certain the “New Normal” will not be a steady state – it will have various surprises. They could be in various forms e.g. protection policies from countries, Currency volatility, Oil Price Shocks, Country fiscal deficits, organisational closures, supply chain disruptions, etc.

While the organisational BCMS will ensure that the organisation is able to manage in the COVID-19 disruptions. The questions is – will they be resilient to succeed in the “New Normal” that is established in this process?
